ABOUT aishwarya rai bachchan

Born on November 1, 1973, Aishwarya Rai, also known by her married name Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is an Indian actor and former beauty queen who won the title of Miss World in the year of 1994. The actor started her film career in 1997 with a Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar starring Mohanlal. In the same year, the actor made her Bollywood debut with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya starrer Bobby Deol and Anupam Kher. Aishwarya has received several awards, including two Filmfare Awards from ten nominations, and she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009. Apart from appearing in Indian films, the actor has worked in Hollywood as well. Her films, Provoked and Pride and Prejudice garnered rave review from media around the world while in India, she became famous for her roles in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Taal and many others. She fell in love with actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Both of them acted in a couple of films, for instance- Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and Guru. The duo got married in 2007 with whom she has a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. She is also the first Indian jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. She made her comeback in the films with Jazbaa, after five tears of having the baby. However, it is her film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that proved to be her best comeback as an actor.
