Last rites of Pampore bravehearts performed with full state honours

Udhampur/Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), Feb 22 (ANI): The last rites of Captain Tushar Mahajan, who was martyred while fighting the terrorists at Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir, was performed with full military honours in Udhampur on Monday. Captain Mahajan was injured on Friday when he was leading a team to smoke-out the terrorists holed up inside a building near Srinagar. He succumbed to the injuries at 92 Base Hospital last evening. Meanwhile, last rites of Havaldar Raj Kumar Rana were performed by his daughter in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Blast hits Turkish cultural centre in Sweden

Sweden, Feb 18 (ANI): An explosion severely damaged part of a building that housed a Turkish cultural association in a Stockholm suburb late on Wednesday. A police spokesman said that no injury has been reported yet. He added that no one has been arrested. The police officials further informed that all the windows of the centre were blown out and technicians were on site to investigate the cause. The centre was located in the basement of a building in Fittja, in southwest Stockholm. According to local media reports, witnesses had seen a person throw an object at the building. Media reports also said there was increased security around other Turkish association premises as well as mosques in the Swedish capital. Earlier on Wednesday, 28 people were killed and dozens wounded in Turkey's capital Ankar awhen a car laden with explosives detonated next to military buses near the armed forces' headquarters, parliament and other government buildings.

SC directs RBI to submit loan defaulters list

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): After the hearing of a public-interest litigation (PIL) against public sector organisation Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO), lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday informed that the Supreme Court has directed the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to submit details of all the private companies who have more than Rs 500 crore in outstanding dues. The state-owned HUDCO is mandated with building affordable housing and carrying out urban development.
