BJP has derailed Rail Budget: Lalu Yadav

Patna, Feb 25 (ANI): Former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday said the Railway Budget 2016 was hollow and there was nothing in it. He said the railways is meant for the common man but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had derailed the Railway Budget altogether. Lalu said the Indian Railways have been incurring losses whereas its expenditure has been on the rise. He also stressed on the proposition of bullet trains, saying it was a game plan of the foreigners to capture the Indian Railways. He further added that the government was not taking cognizance of such instances.

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Taking a jibe at the ruling NDA Government, Former Railway Minister and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday said, “Let us see what the government is going to give, whether the people are going to get the bullet trains or not.” He added, “In the President’s speech, they said high-speed trains from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. So, what is the exact budget provision for that and whether the bullet train is going to help the poor people and is it affordable to the passengers we will see to that.”
