On June 28, Aazad (36) attended a 'terahvin' ritual at a supporter's home in Saharanpur district's Deoband and assailants fired “four shots” at his SUV when he was leaving. Aazad was injured and was discharged after treatment from a hospital in Saharanpur the next day.

Chandra Shekhar Azad was a revolutionary who is well known for taking part in India's struggle for freedom at a very young age. He continues to be an inspiration to India's youth even today.
