TRAI amends new MNP regulations to curb fraudulent SIM swap activities

India's telecom regulator, TRAI, is cracking down on SIM swap fraud with new MNP (Mobile Number Portability) rules. Starting July 1st, users replacing their SIM card will have to wait 7 days before switching to a new network.
