Mortal remains of Siachen martyr flown to Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Feb 15 (ANI): The mortal remains of Sepoy Mustaq Ahmed of Andhra Pradesh, who was among the 10 army personnel killed by a Siachen avalanche on February 3, was brought to Hyderabad on Monday morning. The remains of the martyred soldier were brought to the old Begumpet Airport area here by a Special Indian Air Force aircraft from New Delhi. After the wreath laying ceremony, the mortal remains was flown to Nandayal in Kurnool District by a Indian Air Force helicopter and from there to his native place by road for final rites.

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, arrived here this evening on a three-day visit to India. Setting aside the protocol, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Crown Prince at the Air Force Station in Palam. It was for the second time that the Prime Minister set aside the protocol. He had earlier received US President Barak Obama during the latter's visit to India. Both leaders later shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. They also waved hands at media persons present at the venue. It is the Crown Prince's first state visit to India.

UAE, Germany and Italy condemn Pathankot attack

New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): The governments of UAE, Germany and Italy have condemned the terrorist attack on Indian Air Force base in Pathankot in which seven security personnel were martyred."Terrorism and extremism know no borders and no limits and pose a threat to innocent people everywhere around the world. In order to contain the dangerous threat that terrorism poses to our countries and peoples, international cooperation is indispensable," the Foreign Ministry of UAE said in a statement. Although, the UAE assured India of complete support in its fight against terrorism. "We utterly condemn the terrorist attacks on the Indian air force base in Pathankot and on the Indian Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif. The responsible parties must be identified and held accountable," Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a statement. Earlier, Italy, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Maldives, Nepal, Brazil and France also condemned the terrorist attack. Six terrorists were neutralised in the terror attack at the Pathankot air base that began in the wee hours on January 1. Seven security personnel were martyred in the terror attack. The conspiracy behind the terrorist attack in Pathankot was hatched in Markaj, Pakistan, as per high-level official sources.

Pathankot terror attack has roots in Pakistan

Pathankot, Jan 08: Punjab is once again targeted by Pakistan-based terrorists. On January 2, at least six heavily armed terrorists dressed in Indian Army uniforms attacked Pathankot Air Force Station, part of the Western Air Command, of the Indian Air Force. After 80 hours of fierce battle, all six terrorists were neutralized. The well-trained terrorists, who were part of a suicide squad, were suspected to be members of Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad. Seven security personnel, including a National Security Guard Lieutenant Colonel Niranjan Kumar, were martyred in the terror attack.
