Bassi downplays criticism of Delhi Police

New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): Delhi Commissioner of Police B.S. Bassi on Wednesday downplayed criticism that cops had failed to protect JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar at the Patiala House Court complex, adding that extra precaution would be taken next time. He also said their tactics was not to use force but to manage the situation.

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers' Association (JNUTA) on Sunday said the arrest of JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar from the campus is similar to that of emergency. President of JNUTA, Ajay Patnaik said that the university has always opposed every kind of unconstitutional activity inside the campus. He further said that the institution provides space for debate and discussion and does not attend any kind of hooliganism.
