Her journey began with a win at the 1984 Miss India pageant, leading to a brief role in Sultanat (1986) and a breakthrough performance in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. The actress says that whether it is education or language, people are more interested to adopt western methods rather than enhancing their own. Juhi also said that it is important for people to understand that education is just not about information, books and rote learning, but about promoting their child's interest.
