New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Reacting to Pakistan's concern over the unrest in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress Party leaders on Friday said Islamabad should first set their own house in order and mind their own business. BJP leader Nalin Kohli and Congress leader Manish Tewari said Pakistan should solve their internal issues first. The Ministry of External Affairs also condemned its Pakistani counterpart's statement on Jammu and Kashmir, and said that Islamabad's gratuitous references are unacceptable.

New Delhi/Mumbai, Feb 17 (ANI): Condemning the protests in Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Wednesday said strict actions should be taken against people involved in anti-national activities but sedition charges should not be put against them as it fulfils their aspirations of gaining popularity. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon also condemned the protests in educational institutions. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi emphasised on the need for the Jadavpur University students to come forward and identify the anti-social elements prevalent in the campus.

New Delhi, Feb 11(ANI): Speaking about the David Coleman Headley’s statement that Ishrat Jahan was a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) operative, Congress leader PL Punia said before reaching to any conclusion, Headley’s statement must be examined. Another Congress leader Manish Tewari, echoing the same sentiments, said If Headley has made some assertions let them be investigated. He added that based on statement of a terrorist, we can’t land to any conclusion, it must be enquired.

New Delhi, Feb 09 (ANI): Speaking on the deposing of 26/11 conspirator David Coleman Headley, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Siddharthnath Singh on Tuesday said the Pakistan Government used a seal between state and non-state actors that seems a farce after Headley’s revelation. He said that Pakistan’s credibility was at test and this just showed the double standard of Pakistan. Echoing similar sentiments, Congress leader Manish Tewari stated that Headley’s testimony is undoubtedly important for entire conspiracy behind 26/11. New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): Reiterating their demand for an investigation into the land allotments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as Gujarat's Chief Minister, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Monday said that it was a clear case of impropriety, alleged corruption and a definite case of conflict of interest. Asserting that it was a fit case for a court-monitored investigation, he added that certain new facts have emerged which make the charge of gross impropriety and conflict of interest more damning. The Congress had earlier demanded a Supreme Court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe in the matter following reports about the Modi-led Gujarat government's land deals with business associates of Anar Patel, the daughter of incumbent Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. However, the BJP accused the Opposition of levelling "false and baseless allegations to cover up its own corruption".
