Manoj Sinha

Manoj Sinha is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Ghazipur in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He is widely cited in the media to be a strong contender for the chief minister’s post in the state, after the results of BJP winning 312 out of 403 assembly seats was declared. Sinha was given the independent Communications portfolio in addition to the railways portfolio after he is said to have impressed the prime minister with his work. He is a passout from BHU in Varanasi and he is amiable to party workers and colleagues. Sinha belongs to the upper-caste ‘Bhumihar’ community.

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) for Indian Railways Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that this year's Railway Budget would transform the Indian Railways. He said that they have prepared the budget considering the common man and common commuters' requirements. Sinha said cleanliness was another aspect that is being looked into by the railways. He further said that the wi-fi facility that has been proposed about in the Rail Budget has already been stationed on 11 stations and the railways are aiming to install wifi in 100 railway stations. Lauding the efforts of Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Sinha said that Indian Railways would make the necessary progress by 2020.
