Dr Mohammad Jawed is a medical practitioner turned politician from Bihar and is a member of the Indian National Congress. He is the incumbent Member of the Parliament from Bihar’s Kisanganj Lok Sabha seat. He was born on June 17, 1963, in Kishanganj, Bihar, and has an MBBS degree from the Government College of Srinaagar.
He spent several years working as a physician in the region and getting to know the needs and difficulties of the people there. This occurrence gave him a sense of societal responsibility and helped prepare him for his subsequent political career.
He started his political career at the state level. His two terms in the Bihar Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) were from 2000 to 2005 and from 2010 to 2019. He ran for office twice and was elected. He served in a number of ministerial capacities during this time, including Chief Whip, Law, and Animal Husbandry and Fisheries. His political acumen improved due to these experiences, which also made it possible for him to help Bihar grow.
He made a big step into the national scene in 2019 when he ran from Kishanganj in the Lok Sabha elections. Representing the Indian National Congress (INC) party, he came out on top. This was a noteworthy accomplishment that cemented his standing as a rising figure in Indian politics.
