Compared with last year’s list, IGNOU continues to remain at the top, holding its position at rank 1. However, the two new universities that have entered the 2025 list, have replaced last year’s second- and third-ranked institutions.

In addition to the state public university category, Jadavpur University has also secured positions in the overall, universities, research institutions, engineering, pharmacy and architecture and planning categories this year

NIRF ranking 2018: Top 10 colleges in India

In the latest NIRF ranking 2018, five Delhi University colleges have made it to the list of top 10 colleges in the country. The Union Human Resource Development Ministry’s national ranking framework was released today with Miranda House retaining its number one rank this year as well. St Stephens College, which participated in the ranking for the first time, has bagged second rank. Hindu College, which did not participate in the rankings last year, is at the fifth position in the top 10 list

Like every year, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings were released by the Union Human Resource Development Ministry on April 3, at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. Taking the lead, the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore ranked as the best overall institution and university in India with 82.16 score.
