Rakul Preet Singh: A Pan-Indian Presence Rakul Preet Singh, born October 10, 1990, is a prominent actress in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil cinema. Her career began with the Kannada film Gilli (2009), followed by a foray into Telugu and Tamil films with Keratam (2011), Thadaiyara Thaakka (2012), and Venkatadri Express (2013). She quickly established herself, starring in notable Telugu and Tamil films including Loukyam (2014), Pandaga Chesko (2015), Sarrainodu (2016), Dhruva (2016), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Rarandoi Veduka Chudham (2017), Spyder (2017), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), and the recently released Ayalaan (2024). Her Hindi film debut, the comedy-drama Yaariyan (2014), marked her entry into Bollywood. More recently, Singh has focused on Hindi projects, notably the romantic comedy De De Pyaar De (2019), and the critically acclaimed dramas Runway 34 (2022) and Doctor G (2022). Her filmography showcases versatility across genres. Singh's achievements include a South Indian International Movie Award and four Filmfare Awards South nominations.
