Murthal, Feb 29 (ANI): Amid reports of mass sexual assaults during violent protests by the Jat community demanding reservation, a woman has come forward saying that she was raped by seven men during the violent protests. Haryana’s Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajshree Singh informed that the police has registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter.Singh added the woman had also identified few perpetrators, one of them being her relative. He said that the woman claimed her 12-year-old daughter, who accompanied her in her car, was not raped but her clothes were torn apart.

The security personnel deployed on the site are trying to remove the agitators, who are protesting from the last seven days. The Jat protestors have also blocked NH 8 near Jaisinghpur Khera of Rewari district. Meanwhile, the police baton charged the protestors, who have blocked the NH 2 in Faridabad. At least 10 people have been killed and 150 injured as protests by the Jat community in Haryana demanding status for Other Backward Classes (OBC) continued for the seventh day.
