Sonali Kulkarni: A Versatile Force in Indian Cinema Sonali Kulkarni, a prominent figure in Marathi and Hindi cinema, has carved a niche for herself through diverse roles and consistent critical acclaim. Born in Pune on November 3, 1974, her journey began with a Kannada film debut in 1992, followed by her Marathi debut in Mukta (1994). Early successes in films like Doghi (1995) and Daayraa (1996) showcased her talent, earning her Maharashtra State Film Awards and Filmfare Marathi Awards. Her Bollywood foray included notable roles in Mission Kashmir (2000), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), and Singham (2011). A National Film Award followed for her performance in the short film Chaitra (2002). Kulkarni's versatility is evident in her diverse filmography, encompassing films like Deool (2011), Pune 52 (2013), The Good Road (2013), and more recent works such as Gulabjaam (2018) and Ani... Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar (2018). Three additional Filmfare Marathi Awards were added to her repertoire for Dr. Prakash Baba Amte-The Real Hero (2014), Kachcha Limboo (2017), and Pension (2021).
