A total of 3,487 applicants re-selected schools during this period, while the remaining 4,832 applicants retained the schools of the form filled before the first round, the list from the office of the Director of Primary Education further stated.
According to the instructions from the office of the Director of Primary Education, the students who have got admission in the third round have to visit the respective school during the school hours by June 30 and submit the necessary supporting evidence.
During the first round and second round in May for admission in Class I under RTE Act’s 25 per cent rule for children from weaker and disadvantaged groups in private primary schools, 59,869 children were allotted seats in private schools. Out of these, 51,520 students have been admitted to the allotted schools.
After the completion of the first and second rounds, 31,609 vacant seats were given re-selection with a view to increasing the number of children belonging to weaker and disadvantaged groups to benefit from admission under RTE Act, stated the release issued by the director primary education stated.
