3 BJP officials suspended after Srivastava episode

The Vadodara district BJP has cracked the whip on its three senior officials for their negligence and indifferent attitude in Madhu Srivastava case.

Sources said during the coordination meeting which was held on November 12,the decision was taken following the orders from the party high command. Waghodia Taluka President Ratansinh Solanki,Secretary Kanu Patel and another secretary Virendrasinh Chauhan have been suspended with immediate effect. “They have been suspended for the dereliction in their duties which caused the entire episode and which eventually damaged the party’s image among the public,” said Balu Patel,BJP District President.

Srivastava had allegedly ‘locked’ 10 BJP candidates from Waghodia in captivity till his wife and an Independent candidate Amit Patel filled the forms for the posts of president and vice president,respectively.

On Thursday,he brought all the 10 BJP members around 1.40 pm at Waghodia taluka panchayat office and they eventually voted for Savita,making her taluka panchayat president for a second consecutive term.
