61-year-old held for raping minor girl in Vadodara

The residents of the complex allegedly thrashed the accused before the police rescued him and took him to hospital.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, B Division, RD Kava said, “The accused suffered minor injuries when the residents caught him after the incident… The victim is mentally disabled and resided in the neighbourhood, which is how the accused came in contact with her. The forensic team has gathered evidence from the spot…”

The accused has been booked under the POCSO Act. Police said that the accused is married and lives with his family.
