CEPT University Ahmedabad Monday announced the appointment of Barjor Mehta, an alumnus and former director of the School of Planning, as its president and acting director.

With B V Doshi, then Hasmukh Patel, followed by Dr R N Vakil and since 2012, Dr Bimal Patel,” stated Sanjay Lalbhai, chairperson of CEPT governing body. “As a successful professional with global experience in urban planning and development, I am confident that Mehta will carry forward the legacy and lead the institute to newer horizons,” he added.

The much-awaited announcement on Bimal’s replacement comes almost a year after a search committee was constituted three months before Patel’s second five-year term ended on June 30, 2022.
