Chhara duping case: 2 ‘agents’ of prime accused arrested

The Sarkhej police arrested two persons in connection with the Chhara duping case on Monday.

The Sarkhej police arrested two persons in connection with the Chhara duping case on Monday. According to the police,the arrested persons worked as agents for the prime accused,Ashok Jadeja.

The two have been identified as Babu Rathod (30) and Suratararam Sisodia (35). The police recovered over Rs 2 lakh from their possession and seized their Mahindra Scorpio MUV.

Earlier,the Ahmedabad Rural police had suspected involvement of more people in the fraud when the incident was first reported,as one of the complainants belong to Jaipur in Rajasthan.

Jadeja,who remains at large,is accused of duping several members of the Chhara community by claiming to have the blessing of Shikoter Mataji (deity of Chharas) and promised to return them double amount if they offered money to this deity.
