The CID (Crime) investigating the Tulsiram Prajapti Encounter case is again going to camp in Rajasthan to trace the four policemen who are accused of assisting Banaskantha police in the encounter.

The police will hunt for the four Rajasthan constables present with Ashish Pandya during the encounter

The CID (Crime) investigating the Tulsiram Prajapti Encounter case is again going to camp in Rajasthan to trace the four policemen who are accused of assisting Banaskantha police in the encounter. The CID has apparently failed to get facts from arrested policeman Ashish Pandya.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Narayan Singh Chauhan and constables Kartar Singh Jat,Yudhvir Singh and Dalpat Singh of Rajasthan Police have been absconding for more than two months.

DySP R K Patel CID (Crime) said: “One of our teams led by Inspector Rajput is going to Rajasthan on Monday to search for the constables who were present with Ashish Pandya during the encounter. They have all the information. Their arrests are crucial.”

According to the CID probe and the disclosure of facts by some of the Gujarat Police personnel arrested in this case, Rajasthan officers Dalpat Singh,Yudhvir Singh and Inspector Pandya had shot at Prajapati during the encounter.

The CID team had also visited Rajasthan in May to search for the accused, but had returned empty-handed after a four-day operation.

The CID had summoned the Rajasthan policemen and served notices to the Rajasthan Police to produce them.

Although questioned several times,Pandya has given no leads to CID. After the local court rejected the CID application for conducting a narco analysis test on Pandya, the CID has almost given up on him.

Patel said: “Pandya did not open his mouth at all despite many attempts. He has now been sent to prison. We can fix the encounter case only after we get hold of the accused Rajasthan policemen.”

Certain questions like who accompanied Prajapati to Ambaji in the car,who owned the car, who owned the revolver placed near Prajapati’s body after the encounter and whether Prajapati fired at the police or not remain unanswered.

The CID stated that these missing links of the probe could be joined only after the arrest of the Rajasthan constables.
