“We had invited the Expression of Interest (EoI) but the response was not encouraging and that is why EoI was invited again. This time,we received response from four companies based in India and abroad,” Shah told The Indian Express.

The companies are Citelum SA from France,Ahmedabad-based Saket Projects Energy Limited,Mumbai-based Epic Energy Limited and Vadodara-based Instruments Universal.

“The company giving us the maximum energy saving will be finalised. We are spending Rs 10 crore annually on energy consumption and Rs 1 crore additional

on maintenance. We are expecting at least 50 per cent saving. Once the system is implemented,it would be replicated in other municipal corporations in the state,” Shah said.
