GU to set up a single window for students grievances

Gujarat University V-C Adesh Pal on Tuesday ordered setting up of a single-window system for redressal of students problems.

Speaking to The Indian Express,Pal said he asked to set up the students window comprising three deans directly under V-C who would hear the problems concerning students and dispose them off.

In another initiative,he said he instructed the deans of various faculties to appoint all the members on their respective board of studies. He said lack of members hampered the smooth functioning,preparation and renewal of syllabus and study materials.

Each board of studies as per UGC rules should have at least nine members. But most of the boards in GU have less than nine members.
