Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed grief at the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said he had made a major contribution to the development of the nation.

In a post on X, Patel said the passing of “renowned economist Dr Manmohan Singh is extremely saddening”.

“While discharging several responsibilities, he made an important contribution to the development of the country,” said the CM. Patel prayed for peace “for this soul and strength to the family to come to terms with the grief”.
