When a facility has been created for people’s convenience, there cannot be any compromise in ensuring that it remains in functioning order ‘as it is’ after putting it to use. This was the message that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave to officials on Friday as he laid emphasis on maintaining quality in public works being carried out in Gujarat.
The CM was addressing a public gathering in Kalyanpura of Santalpur taluka of Patan district where he had arrived to inaugurate or lay the foundation stone of various developmental projects worth Rs 110 crore.
The CM said, “Our budget gets increased and proportionately, we keep on doing developmental works as well. If we put emphasis on quality in whatever work you get done, there will be fewer complaints in monsoon than (we) get (currently).”
He further said, “When we have given a facility, it has to be ensured that the facility works as it is. There has to be an effort in that direction as well… After starting use of that facility you cannot compromise.”
The function was also attended by the industries minister Balvantsinh Rajput, local MP Bharatsinh Dabhi, MLAs and district office bearers among others.
