Differences over internal administration matters have led the principal and faculty members of the Government Polytechnic College (GPC) in Chhota Udepur file cross complaints against one another.
While college lecturer Hitesh Chaudhary has accused principal A K Sindhav of atrocity,Sindhav has charged Chaudhary and two others for beating him up.
Speaking to Newsline,Sub Inspector K D Rathod said: There has been an internal problem in the campus administration and that led to the situation on April 2.
We had arrested Chaudhary and two other lecturers, but released them on bail. We will arrest Sindhav under the provisions of Atrocity Act on Monday,as he has been accused of uttering expletives and using bad words for Chaudharys caste.
Meanwhile,Chaudhary said,Sindhav often uses derogatory words. However,I could not tolerate it when he used bad words over my caste and approached the Chhota Udepur police.
On the other hand,Sindhav said: I have been framed. In fact, the lecturer tried to attack me on April 2 in the campus while I was returning from work.
He added: The administration wants me to take back the circular, which stated that there will be no leave for teaching staff in the college till the Lok Sabha polls and exams are over.
