Independents withdraw nominations in Rajkot

A total number of 225 candidates are in fray for 69 seats in 23 wards of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Thirty candidates withdrew their nominations on Tuesday,of which mostly are independents.

Candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party withdrew their nominations from wards number 5,14 and 17. Nationalist Congress Party also withdrew nominations from wards 6 and 16.

Meanwhile in Bhavnagar,19 nomination forms were withdrawn on the last day. A total number of 183 candidates are contesting for 51 seats in 17 wards.
