A strong base is emerging for Narendra Modi to become the Prime Minister again for a third term, said Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah Thursday as he virtually inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 3,012 crore of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA), and Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL).

“Very soon, the country will vote for the 18th Lok Sabha elections. During my campaign tour across the country, wherever we go, a strong base is emerging for Narendra Modi to become the Prime Minister again for a third term. It is clearly visible that the people of the entire country have decided to achieve the ‘Ab Ki Baar 400 Par’ slogan,” the Union Minister said.

Echoing similar sentiments, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the speed and scale of development works have increased in the double-engine government. In the third term, when Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister, we will definitely see the determination of making India the third economy of the world come true”.

Listing out the projects undertaken by the Modi government, Shah claimed these works were languishing and hanging during the Congress era, but in the past five years under the double-engine government of the BJP, he has been able to complete 91 per cent of the works in his parliamentary constituency.

One of the major tasks taken up by the BJP was building the Ram temple. “Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only did bhoomi pujan, but also consecrated the idol of Lord Ram and fulfilled the faith of crores of people. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed all the impossible tasks, be it ‘one rank one pension’ or the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

More than 25 crore people have come out of poverty in the country under Modi’s leadership, and the speed and scale of development works have increased in the double-engine government, the CM said.
