The hearing in the case was held Tuesday under marked presence of Shamima Kausar,Ishrat’s mother. Later,Shamima issued a statement outside the

court where she said “judicial enquiry and impartial and

professional investigation have always upheld the innocence of Ishrat”. In the statement,she strongly rejected allegations that referred to Ishrat as being a terrorist or having any link with any terrorist activity .
