A Jan Seva Kendra (JSK) on the pattern of the one at Ahmedabad district collectorate is likely to come up at the premises of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in Gandhingar soon.
The idea behind setting up the JSK is to help the students coming up for various works like non-receipt of examination admission card,non-receipt of mark-sheets and certificates etc.
At present, the students and their parents have to go to different offices in the board premises in the absence of a one-window system to assist them.
Board sources said this was very inconvenient, particularly for those coming from as far as Surat and Bhuj, which were far off from the state capital.
When contacted, the Secondary Education Board chairperson R R Varsani said a single-window system would be helpful to the students in sorting out such problems at a short notice.
