Std XII exams: Students smile on Day-I

A total of 20 cases of copying were detected during the examinations for chemistry paper of Std XII examinations that began on Monday.

A total of 20 cases of copying were detected during the examinations for chemistry paper of Std XII (science) examinations that began on Monday.

The cases of cheating,according to Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination Board (GSHSEB) chairman R R Varsani,were found in Navsari,Baroda,Panchmahals and Dahod district. He said that there was no printing or other mistakes in the question paper.

Shah Virank,a student of A-One School in Satellite,who was giving examinations at the Kameshwar School in Bodakdev area,said questions were very easy. However,he said objective-type questions were a bit tough.

Jhanvi Brahmbhatt from St Annes School in Bopal was very happy as she came out of the examination centre.

“The question paper was very good,” she said when asked about the question papers by her parents waiting outside the Kameshwar School.

Krupal Vaghela from R R Trivedi School in Vejalpur said she found the papers to be very easy.

When the examinations began at 3 pm,Education Minister Vasuben Trivedi offered flowers to students at a school in Sabarmati area and wished them success.

National Students Union of India members also offered flowers to encourage the examinees at the ST Xaviers School at Mirzapur.

Boy faints on the way,docs say ‘pressure’

A student Utkarsh Sanjay Upadhyay,who was going to his examination centre at M K Vidyalaya at Ellisbridge,became unconscious in his car before reaching the examination centre. His father,who was driving th car,took him to MediSurge Hospital. The doctors said the boy suffered from psychological disorder owing to the examination pressure. According to doctors,the boy required counselling to ease the examination pressure.
