Twin building collapse: Activists in jail refuse to seek bail

About 23 protesters,who were arrested on Thursday for protesting against the inaction in the Vadodara Urban Development Authority twin building collapse case and refused to seek bail.

About 23 protesters,who were arrested on Thursday for protesting against the inaction in the Vadodara Urban Development Authority twin building collapse case and refused to seek bail,are lodged in the Vadodara Central Jail for the second day on Friday.

The six activists,belonging to the Vadadodara chapter of India Against Corruption (IAC) as well as Rescue Vadodara group along with local residents of the Madhavnagar society in Atladara,have refused to seek bail following their arrest while on a hunger strike.

Inspector of Karelibaug police station V M Anand said,“These activists have refused to take bail from the court otherwise they would have been released on Thursday. They will remain in the jail until the magistrate directs their release or they seek bail themselves.”
