Two dead,five injured in road accident

Two persons died and five others were injured when a speeding car rammed into a six-seater autorickshaw near Mohammadpura Patiya late on Saturday.

The driver of the car is absconding,said the police,adding that one of the deceased was a 19-year-old and the other was in his late 50s.

A U Pathan,Investigating Officer in the case,said: The auto driver is among the two who died in the mishap. Condition of the injured (admitted to the V S Hospital) is said to be serious.

These people were going towards Sanand for their catering work. After being hit by the car,the vehicle fell into a nearby pit.

While the youth who died was identified as Bunty,all that the police could ascertain about the driver was that he belonged to Bihar.

Pathan said the car had a registration number of Maharashtra and that investigations are on to identify and catch its driver. The car driver left the vehicle at the spot and escaped, he said.
