Ahmedabad MP Dr Kirit Solanki will perform the ground-breaking ceremony of Vankar Bhavan Sunday. The centre will be used to host various social and economic developmental activities and as training centres for the youth of the Vankar community, a sub-group of Scheduled Castes in the state.
Panch president Dr Amrut Parmar said the bhavan will be built at Rs 12 crore, the land for which was donated by late IAS officer K. K. Chauhan.
The Vankar Bhavan will be a seven-floor building that will consist of parking spaces, halls, two mini halls, a library, an audio-visual room, a computer room, a staff room, a meeting room, and special rooms for faculties. The sixth floor will have 16 two-sharing rooms for male students preparing for government competitive exams, and the seventh floor will house as many female students.
