1 lakh devotees pay obeisance at Mansa Devi on Navratra 1st day

On the first day of the ‘Chaitra Navratra’ festival,nearly one lakh devotees paid obeisance at the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine.

On the first day of the ‘Chaitra Navratra’ festival,nearly one lakh devotees paid obeisance at the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine. The Shrine Board has made elaborate arrangements for the nine-day festival.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda performed Yajna and paid obeisance at the shrine complex along with his wife.

According to Shrine Board officials,on the first day,they received cash offerings of over Rs 16 lakh. “We received cash offering of Rs 16,14,928; 10 items of gold and 163 items of silver respectively,” said an official.

The Shrine Board claims it has made special arrangements for the festival

and nearly 700 policemen have been deployed to ensure a smooth and peaceful festival.
