As part of the special lecture series to create awareness,interest,aptitude and scientific temper among school students,parents and teachers,the department of Life Long Learning and Extension (DLLLE),Panjab University,Chandigarh,organised the third lecture at the Government Girls High School,Sector 25,where more than 120 students from the Government Model High School,Government Girls High School Sector 25 and Government Senior Secondary School Sector 23,Chandigarh participated.

A team of experts from the National Academy of Sciences,India (NASI),comprising Prof V P Sharma,Prof S C Verma,IIT Kanpur,Prof Pramod Pande,Director Planetarium,Allahabad,and Prof Manmohan Singh Marwaha from SGGS College,Sector 26,Chandigarh interacted with students and parents to promote interest of students in science subjects at the senior secondary level.

Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Professor R C Sobti,while welcoming the experts,said we were living in an era of science and technology and new inventions were for the benefit of the humanity.
