Following the city schools dissatisfaction over the admission schedule released by the education department,a decision was taken on Wednesday for advancing the admission dates by four days. A meeting of principals of different schools was held with the Director Public Instructions (Schools) Kamlesh Kumar to reach a consensus.
All private schools have now been directed to update their respective school websites and to display all information regarding admissions on the notice boards by November 25.
Earlier,the schools were given time till November 29 for the same. This admission procedure will be followed by all government-aided and recognised private schools in the city.
The information that will be available on the websites or notice boards of the schools shall include dates of admission,total number of seats,age requirement,fees structure,admission criteria,documents required and date of draw,if any.
Issue and receipt of registration will begin on November 25 or earlier,while the last date for the submission of admission forms has been fixed for December 10. The forms will be available free of cost and can be downloaded from the schools website,or collected from the school itself.
All schools will finalise the admission process by January 20 and the list of selected students will be displayed between January 10 and January 20 in the schools itself.
Parents will be required to deposit the fees up to January 25.
The list of candidates in the waiting list shall be displayed from January 29 to 31.
Apart from this,the schools have also been asked to upload information regarding the registration fees and other details on their official websites or release the same information in the public domain through notice boards and newspaper advertisements.
