Municipal Corporation lifted 50 trucks,4 big cranes and various roles of steel sheets and wire from Industrial Area Phase II during an anti-encroachment drive. As many as 54 challans were issued to the defaulters. Three JCB machines were deployed to clear the area. The encroachers were habitual offenders and have dumped their vehicles and other machinery parts on the green belt and municipal land for the last couple of years. A large number of oil drums and trucks loaded with charcoal etc. were dumped. In addition to that,31 other encroachers were also challaned and furniture items,scrap,etc were seized from the area. Five truckloads of items were seized during the drive.
