In 1986,American artist David Robbins came out with a photographic work featuring 18 contemporary artists. Titled Talent,it had Cindy Shermann,Ashley Bickerton,Michael J Byron and Gretchen Bender,among others. One of the faces in the work was that of artist and Delhi-based Nature Mortes director,Peter Nagy. Now,25 years later,the Marianne Boesky gallery in New York has culled out the iconic picture,and put together the works of 15 of the artists it featured,in an exhibition titled 25 Years of Talent. Nagys 2003-work Shape of the Vase is displayed there alongside the works by other artists.
