Bharti Vij Cricket Academy wins

In a nail-biting finish, Bharti Vij Cricket Academy recorded a narrow one-run win over Greenfield Cricket Academy in a match played at Tau Devi Lal Cricket stadium,Sector 3,Panchkula,during 1st S.Harpal Singh Memorial (U-15) cricket tournament. Batting first,riding high on Shubhankar Matharu’s blazing knock of 90 runs,Bharti Vij Academy posted a total of 176 in 30 overs. From the bowling side,Davinder Rai bowled a splendid spell taking four wickets. Chasing the Bharti Vij Academy total,Greenfield Academy always looked in total control. Sherry (31) and Parminder Singh (29) did well to get close to the target. They just needed one run with a wicket in hand. Unfortunately,they were bundled out for 175 runs.In the second match of the day,APJ Smart School,Kharar,beat Distt.Cricket Coaching Center,Sector 3,Panchkula,by 40 runs.For the winning side,Karan Bhargav gave superb all-round performance smashing unbeaten knock of 56 runs and taking three wickets as well.
