Student accused of teasing girls loses case against college

Chandigarh: A student from Bathinda district who was accused of disturbing and teasing girls in his class has lost the case he filed against his college after his class timings were changed following the complaints made by the girls. Deepak Kumar,a resident of Maur Mandi,had complained to Punjab Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission against Tara College of Information Technology. After the college filed affidavits of two girl students,Deepak’s appeal was dismissed.

14 hurt as Akali factions clash

Bathinda: As many as 14 persons,among them two women,were injured in a land dispute involving two Akali factions in Bhagta Bhai Ka village today evening. The ongoing dispute took an ugly turn today when a group armed with weapons tried to take possession of the land and was opposed by the other group,resulting in a bloody clash.
