Hamirpur: The Himachal Lokhit Party,floated by the BJP dissidents,on Sunday said it would contest all the 68 seats in the next Assembly election. The party was determined to inflict a crushing defeat on the ruling BJP in the state,HLP president Maheshwar Singh told reporters here. Visiting the home turf of P K Dhumal,Singh launched a scathing attack on the CM.

Rs 30 cr projects for Kangra

Dharamsala: Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Sunday announced developmental projects worth about Rs 30 crore for Kangra district. The projects include construction of a science block for Government Degree College,NGO quarters and augmented drinking water supply scheme,officials said.

Min temperature up in Punjab,Haryana

Chandigarh: Winters are slowly receding in the plains of Punjab and Haryana with the minimum temperature rising by upto 5 degrees Celsius above normal in most parts of the states. The minimum temperatures hovered between 2 and 5 degrees Celsius in many places as cold conditions abated,the Met office said on Sunday.
