The Pinjore railway crossing will be opened to traffic around 8 am on Tuesday after completing repair work at a war footing,said K S Baghel,Junior Engineer,Permanent Way,Chandigarh. Earlier,the road was scheduled to open at 7 pm on Tuesday. On Monday,all light vehicles going to Shimla were diverted from Pinjore to Kalka via Charnia,said Pawan Kumar,National Highway Traffic Incharge. Trucks and other heavy vehicles were diverted from Dharampur to Pinjore via Barotiwala Patta,said Parwanoo DSP Ramesh Pathania. However,traffic ran smoothly and no jams were reported.
