Emigration firm owner,two others booked for cheating

An owner and two employees of a Chandigarh-based private emigration company have been booked for cheating a Mohali girl student of Rs 1.2 lakh and allegedly giving her a fake visa papers,which debarred her from emigrating for another ten years,the police said here today.

Amandeep Kaur of Sector 71 here reported to the police that she had approached a private emigration company in Sector 42,Chandigarh,for helping her emigrate to United Kingdom on a student visa for persuing higher studies. “For this purpose,the company owner and his two staffers charged me Rs 1.2 lakh against which they handed over me certain papers with which I approached the UK Embassy for procuring the visa,” complained she,while alleging that on finding the said papers fake,the Embassy not only denied her visa but also put a stamp on her passport to debar her from applying for the visa for the next ten years. On her complaint,the local police have booked the company owner,his manager Kuldeep Singh and another employee Monika.
