GNPS-36 and SPS-4 storm into semis

In quarter-finals played today,GNP School defeated Vivek High School,Sector 38,by 118 runs.Batting first,GNP School posted a total of 179 for 6 in allotted 20 overs. Subham Mahajan (42) and Venup (37) were involved in a 77-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Earlier,Anil Sihag (26) and Gaurav Puri (37) were associated in 44-stand for the second wicket stand. Ankit Wadhawan (3 for 43) and Manik Khanna (2 for 24) were the main wicket takers for Vivek High School.In reply,Vivek High School were bundled out for 61 in 15.1 overs. Anil Sihag of GNP School bowled a superb spell of 3.1 overs and took 3 for 7. All-rounder Venup got 2 for 19. Venup was declared the Man of the Match.

In the second match,Satluj Public School,Sector 4,Panchkula,defeated Ryan International School,Sector 49,by 75 runs. Man of the Match Manan Vohra played a brilliant knock of 68,which contained 13 fours as Satluj PS made 206 for 5 in allotted 20 overs. Abhinav Goel scored 50. In reply,Ryan International School could only make 131 for 7 in allotted 20 overs. Randeev Sanghera (37) and Vipul Thakur (18) were the main scorers. Rahul Singla and Harpreet Singh got two wickets for 15 and 25 runs,respectively.
