The Haryana Roadways is set to expand its city operations in Gurgaon by adding more buses and three new routes to the existing four routes. The new routes will be operational from May 28. Stating this today,Arun Kumar,director general,State Transport,said the response to the services had been phenomenal,thus encouraged by this,the department decided to add three more routes – Sector-29 Metro Station to Sohna Road Badshahpur,Basai Chowk to Gurgaon Bus Stand,Palam Vihar to Bus Stand Gurgaon.
He said at present 36 buses,including 25 semi low-floor buses,five fully fabricated AC buses and six specially-designed standard buses were in operation. However,to expand the city service,20 buses,including 10 semi low-floor buses and 10 specially-designed standard buses would be added in the next 10 days to provide service at a frequency of eight to 10 minutes on all the seven routes.
