Mobizone offers solutions to mobile phone problems
If cobblers can do brisk business in US in times of slowdown,back home mobile solution shops too can be hopeful. The unwarranted repair business itself is to the tune of Rs 2.2 million a month, Digvijay N Pandey of Mobizone tells us and of this about 84 per cent goes to the unorganized sector. Pandey formally launched Mobizone operations in Chandigarh on Monday. We want to capture a share of this 84 per cent and have planned to open 30 centres and 150 franchises across India by the end of this year, he adds on. Providing services like mobile repair and reverse logistics,extended warranty,accessories and refurbishments,here we have fixed a rate for old handsets of all brands and models and recycle and resell them with one years warranty, chips in Jyoti Kamal of the company,who adds that they are promoting eco-friendly environment through environmental management system.
Outlets in Meerut,Delhi,Jaipur,Indore and Mumbai are planned after Chandigarh in the first phase. For the second phase we have tied up with a Chinese company TeleTech,that has 700 centres in China, Pandey adds that Mobizone has been providing hardware for companies like Nokia and Airtel among others and is now venturing into making their own handsets by the name of Lemon,which already offers four models. Four more will be launched this month and will be priced Rs 1,100 onwards for a set.
