Lakshay sets up GNPS-36 triumph

A fine knock of 45 runs by Lakshay propelled Guru Nanak Public School,Sector 36 to an emphatic 42-run win over Greenfield Public School in a match of the 1st Ashok Vij Memorial U-14 cricket tournament. Guru Nanak Public School won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first,Guru Nanak Public School posted a total of 138 runs for the loss of four wickets in 25 overs. Lakshay was the main scorer for the team as he played a knock of 45 runs. Lakshay played superbly and thrashed the opposition bowlers. He was ably supported by Saurav,who played a fine knock of

36 runs. For Greenfield Public School,Inderjeet claimed two wickets for 35 runs.

Chasing a target of 139 runs in the allotted 25 overs,Greenfield Public School were bundled out for a total of 96 runs in 22 overs. Vikram was the top scorer for the team as he played a knock of 36 runs while Sherry made 19 runs. For the winning team,Rizul was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed four wickets for 12 runs while Ankit claimed three wickets for eight runs.
