Mahapool Private Limited has launched an android application to provide real-time vehicle pooling solution. The application provides pooling for both bike and car. By using the application, one can look for possible pooling solutions anywhere anytime. Among the various other existing pooling solutions, Mahapool assures to offer more security than any other. No calling, SMS or e-mail is involved in the process. Other than security, the application also offers flexibility to choose the person and route switch. It also ensures privacy by not sharing any personal details and contact number. “Every year a large amount of oil has to be imported in India from other countries. If we could save even 1% of the fuel consumption, we will feel our contribution towards the environment.” said Bharat Bhushan, director, Mahapool Pvt. Ltd. There is a dedicated team which verifies the various identification proof which have to be necessarily provided during the registration. Before pooling, a person can see the other person’s picture and the vehicle’s picture to identify the right person. However, commercial vehicles will not be able take advantage of this application. There are no cashless transactions. The money transactions are like mobile prepaid where amount is deducted from the balance. For two-wheelers, the pooling partner has to spend an amount equivalent to the local buses and for the four-wheeler the amount is equivalent to the fare of AC buses for the same route.
