CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Police has registered a case of cheating,fraud and forgery against a Panchkula resident for allegedly duping a retired Army Colonel of his retirement money on the pretext of offering him a partnership in a liquor vend in Manimjara. Colonel(Retd) S C Kohar,a Sector 34 resident,had lodged a complaint against the liquor contractor Lovlesh Kumar Aggarwal,a resident of Amravati Enclave,Panchkula,alleging that he was cheated of Rs 43 lakh. The accused had allegedly,over a period of time,defrauded Colonel Kohar . Despite repeated requests,Aggarwal did not get a partnership deed made and later did not return the money. He had also issued cheques to Kohar,which,the Colonel said,were dishonoured by banks. The victim has also approached the Court in this regard.
